Ultrasound Program Is Saving Babies' Lives

An international Catholic charitable organization has announced a goal of saving 1 million unborn babies by expanding its ultrasound program. "We know from experience that a woman who sees an ultrasound image of her child is highly likely to keep her baby," Carl Anderson, CEO of the Knights of Columbus, said at the organization's 135th international convention in St. Louis on Aug. 1-3. In 2009, the Knights of Columbus began working with the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council in New Haven, Connecticut, to pay for 829 ultrasound machines for pregnancy centers or in mobile medical units. Toronto Wants to Ban Pro-Life Signs

Toronto council member Sarah Doucette wants to shut down pro-life protests that depict the results of an abortion with frank pictures of severed fetuses. Doucette finds the images “disturbing” and she is angry that pro-life activists are using them to illustrate what happens to a fetus during an abortion. She claims she has had hundreds of complaints from her constituents and now wants to sponsor a bylaw to ban the pictures in the city. Read more...

Pro-Life Group Buys Out Late-Term Provider

A Maryland abortion clinic, one of only a few that provides late-term abortions to women in the United States, plans to close its doors and is under contract to be purchased by a pro-life group that has worked for many years to shut it down, according to an official with the coalition that has plans to buy it. If the sale goes through this fall, the new owners of the Germantown clinic will soon be owned by the Maryland Coalition for Life, a grass-roots organization that has staged regular protests at the clinic and, in 2011, opened up a crisis pregnancy center across the parking lot to counsel women against choosing abortion. Woman Dies in 4-Day Botched Abortion

Pro-life groups are alleging that the death of a 23-year-old woman during a four-day abortion procedure is being covered up by the clinic and the University of New Mexico. Keisha Marie Atkins died on Feb. 4 at Southwestern Women's Options, a late-term abortion clinic in Albuquerque, an autopsy report by Abortion Free New Mexico has revealed. "A careful review of the autopsy findings indicates that this cause of death is a whitewash meant to blame Atkins' pregnancy for her death instead of what appears to be a mismanaged late-term abortion procedure," Operation Rescue said. Pro-Aborts Want Judge Off the Case

An Ohio Supreme Court justice has refused an abortion clinic's demands that she recuse herself from a case that will determine whether or not the clinic has to shut down for not being in compliance with a state law, simply because she spoke at a pro-life event earlier this year. "Having reviewed the request, I find it to be without merit and will continue to participate in the case," Republican Ohio Supreme Court Justice Sharon Kennedy said Monday in response to a request by the Capital Care Network that she remove herself from its pending case against the state of Ohio. Abortion: Two Americas Devided by Sex Ed

It makes sense in a state where people have been educated to embrace sex education (aka "have sex!"), birth control (which often fails), and reproductive rights (abortion, everyone!), these kids would later turn into adults who vote for politicians who pass legislation that represents some of the most radically pro-choice bills in the country. Oregon feels like they need abortions because the teenagers, and grown ups, keep getting pregnant "unintentionally." It's not a reactionary phase or even a political move: It's been ingrained since childhood via education. Read more...

Planned Parenthood's 'Far-Left Agenda'

After NARAL Executive Director Grayson Dempsey attacked state Republican Rep. Knute Buehler's pro-choice views, Buehler responded by asserting most Oregonians don't support the more extreme views of pro-abortion groups and providers. Most Oregon residents are "pro-choice with certain limitations or pro-life with certain exceptions," Buehler wrote. He said that most people in Oregon have more moderate views and respect those that differ from theirs. NARAL, Planned Parenthood, and Emily's List do not operate this way, however, he claimed. Court: Arkansas Can Cut Planned Parenthood Funds

Arkansas may block tens of thousands of dollars in Medicaid funding from going to Planned Parenthood, a panel of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has said. The court found that Planned Parenthood and the three patients could not contest the state's determination "that a medical provider has engaged in misconduct that merits disqualification from the Medicaid program." The 2-1 panel ruling comes two years after the state ended its contract with the organization over videos filmed by undercover investigators that appeared to show involvement in the illegal sale of fetal tissue for profit. Oregon Gov. Signs 'Free Abortions For All' Bill

Oregon has adopted a law that would force all Oregon insurers to cover abortions, whatever the reason, at no cost to patients. House Bill 3391-B compels insurers, public or private, to provide a whole swathe of "reproductive services" free of cost and regardless of income, insurance type, citizenship status, or gender identity. Because the bill prohibits insurers from shifting costs to customers in the form of higher deductibles or co-pays, private insurers will be forced to eat the costs — or, more likely, to distribute them among their customers through higher premiums. Arizona Pro-Aborts Get Tax Dollars

A federal judge awarded Planned Parenthood and other abortionists more than $600,000 over a repealed pro-life law. U.S. District Judge Steven P. Logan, an Obama appointee, ruled that since an Arizona law requiring abortionists to inform patients about the possibility of reversing a chemical abortion was repealed, taxpayers must reimburse Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses everything they spent on fighting the law. Planned Parenthood of Arizona, the American Civil Liberties Union, and the Center for Reproductive Rights vigorously fought the informed consent law in the courts. Read more...

400 Botched Abortions in Just Two Months

The Care Quality Commission in England has found that nearly 400 botched abortions were performed at Marie Stopes run clinics in a two month period during January and February 2017. The CQC also found that over a three month period, 11 women had to be rushed to emergency departments in nearby hospitals following complications that arose during abortion procedures at a number of Marie Stopes clinics.
