Oprah Promotes 'Shout Your Abortion' Campaign

Entertainment icon Oprah Winfrey devoted an article to the founder of the "Shout Your Abortion" movement in the latest issue of her magazine. "How One Woman Became an Activist With the Hashtag #ShoutYourAbortion," by Amelia Bonow in the July 2018 issue of O Magazine, details how Brown found herself "sitting on my couch crying" in 2015 after hearing that the U.S. House of Representatives had voted to defund the Planned Parenthood abortion giant (a measure that ultimately failed). Pro-Lifers Lose Fetal Tissue Appeal

Pro-life advocates lost an appeal that challenged the University of Minnesota's use of aborted fetal tissue for medical research. The state Court of Appeals said the lawsuit filed in 2016 by Pro-Life Action Ministries is moot because the Legislature clarified the law, specifically allowing research on aborted fetal tissue, while the case was pending. Argentina Rejects Abortion Legalization

After the recent fall of Catholic Ireland to the abortion regime, pro-abortion forces appeared confident that they could gain another victory for their ideology – this time Catholic Argentina. Instead, after a bill was introduced to legalize abortion-on-demand up to 14 weeks of pregnancy, millions of ordinary pro-life Argentineans took to the streets in peaceful protests, demanding that their legislators stand for life. Iowa Heartbeat Exception Clause Challenged

A Polk County District Court Judge Michael Huppert recently placed a temporary injunction on Iowa’s new fetal heartbeat abortion ban while it is challenged in court. Save The 1, a pro-life organization based in Michigan representing over 600 people who were conceived in rape or incest and mothers who became pregnant under such circumstances, filed a motion to intervene. They are opposed to the exceptions in the law made for cases of rape, incest, and fetal abnormalities. Read more...

Man Points Gun at Pro-Life Counselor

A pro-life sidewalk counselor called 911 after a man pointed a loaded gun at him while he was ministering to women outside an abortion mill in Illinois. Police arrived on the scene and arrested 27-year-old Kevin Brooks from Springfield, Missouri. Long-time pro-lifer John Ryan, the alleged victim, said he is undaunted by the incident. Read more...
